Google Secure Signals is a program where publishers can easily deploy 3rd party tech on their website for collecting publisher signals (i.e. universal ids) and then automatically send them to Google with a minimum effort. Google will forward the signals along to integrated buyers via Google OpenBidding and Google AdExchange. Publishers benefit by bringing their identity strategy to their Google tech stack with a lightweight integration, resulting in more addressabile inventory and improved monetization.
In order for a publisher to integrate with ID5 through Google Secure Signals, they need to have their own ID5 Partner Number (if you don't already have one, you may request one on our website).
Once you have the Partner Number, you should add the following code to the <head>
part of your website:
<script>
window.ID5EspConfig = {
partnerId: 123 // 123 should be modified with your own partnerId
};
</script>
After updating your website, enable ID5 as a module and ask Google to deploy the signal collection script for you directly within the Google Ad Manager UI (details here).
Platforms that receive bid requests from Google OpenBidding or Google AdExchange will receive the encrypted ID5 ID in the bid request as part of the eids
array, much like the standard SSP integration. Please work with your Google representative to receive details specific to your integration with Google.
